A. Parthasarathy is the pre-eminent philosopher and author. Swamiji, as he is popularly known, has a multi-disciplined academic base with postgraduation from London University. Renouncing a lucrative shipping business early in life he has dedicated himself to full time study, research and propagation of Vedanta, the ancient philosophy of India. In the course of seven decades of selfless service to humanity, Swamiji’s outstanding contribution has been to infuse this eternal wisdom into modern life for peaceful and productive living.

Author

Over seventy years of study and research Swamiji authored twelve books presenting the ancient philosophy of life and living in contemporary thought and language. With a clear and scientific approach, the books enable one to easily grasp the vital foundational knowledge of the human personality. They then gradually lead one via a carefully structured course of study to the acme of spiritual thought expounded in the ancient Vedic texts.

The Vedanta Treatise: The Eternities, Swamiji's magnum opus, is currently in its 18th edition. Amongst Swamiji's publications are commentaries on scriptural texts, including the Bhagavad Gita and select Upanishads.

Global Reach

To impart the knowledge of Vedanta and its practical application to life, Swamiji has been conducting discourses and seminars across the globe for over fifty years. His teachings have profoundly impacted the lives of his audiences and have been featured in international press and television media including TIME, New Yorker, Businessweek, CNBC, Sky, Sunday Times London, the New York Post and The Times of India.

Swamiji has addressed leading institutions worldwide including:

Swamiji’s pioneering lifetime research has formulated Self-management courses for businesspeople and professionals worldwide.

He has been acclaimed as one of the leading corporate gurus for international institutions such as the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, Young Presidents’ Organisation and World Economic Forum.

The Self-management courses have been encapsulated in Swamiji's book entitled Governing Business & Relationships. And are available as an e-learning course.

Guru

In 1988 Swamiji founded the Vedanta Academy in India, which conducts full-time three-year residential programs on Vedanta for the youth. Swamiji has personally taught and guided generations of students at the Academy for over thirty years. This complete course on Vedanta philosophy is also available online in the form of Vedanta E-learning.

Outside the Classroom

Until his mid 90s Swamiji followed a daily schedule of yoga, jogging and exercises. This enabled him to continue playing cricket till the age of 93. Swamiji regularly won most-valuable player awards for the Academy cricket team. Apart from his sporting prowess, Swamiji has a deep appreciation for Carnatic Music, a style of Indian classical music said to be subtlest expression of devotion.
